America’s 250th · The Founding Father Year
Join the Founders.
From Washington’s distillery to your Rickhouse. A founder’s rate that holds for life.
Bourbon is America’s only native spirit, by act of Congress, since 1964. The first president was also the first founding father of American whiskey — Mount Vernon ran the largest distillery in the young country. The Perfect Pour ships in America’s 250th year. From July 4, 2026 through July 3, 2027, every Bourbon Steward subscriber joins as a Founder and locks the rate of $99 a year — for as long as they stay subscribed.
A full Founding Father Year. One Independence Day to the day before the next. After that, the standard rate begins. The Founders who joined keep theirs.

Why this is the moment.
George Washington died at Mount Vernon in 1799. By the end of his life, his estate was producing eleven thousand gallons of rye whiskey a year — the largest distillery in early America. The first president was also the first founding father of American whiskey. The family tree starts in that lineage.
Six years earlier, in 1794, Pennsylvania farmers had refused to be taxed on the whiskey they made. The federal government called it a rebellion. Washington personally led thirteen thousand troops to put it down — the only sitting president ever to lead the army in the field. The argument was never just about a tax. It was about who got to decide what whiskey was worth, and who got to drink it.
We’re not staging another rebellion. We’re staging a quieter one — against the leaderboard, against the allocation chase, against the friendly chatbot that’s actually selling you something. The Perfect Pour is for the people who want to find their own pour and name their own palate.
America turns 250 in 2026. Bourbon is the only spirit Congress has named America’s native — by federal record since 1964, by character since Washington. The Founder rate is the line that holds for the people who join the table this Founding Father Year.
The standard Bourbon Steward rate is $149 / year. Founders lock at $99 — every annual renewal stays $99 for as long as the subscription stays active. You save $50 every year. $250 over five. $500 over ten. $1,000 over twenty. The math compounds. The moment doesn’t.
Or build it elsewhere.
No other app does all of this. Stitching the comparable experience together from separate subscriptions runs $220 to $280 a year:
One subscription. One app. One voice.
Common questions.
What happens after July 3, 2027?
Standard pricing begins. New Bourbon Steward subscribers pay $14.99 / mo or $149 / yr. Founders who joined during the Founding Father Year keep the $99 / yr rate for as long as they stay subscribed.
Why a Founding Father Year?
Two reasons. America’s 250th year starts mid-2026 and reaches its symbolic peak on July 4, 2026 — the most American day in the country’s most American year. From there, the offer runs a full year, closing the day before the next Independence Day (July 3, 2027). The frame echoes what Washington and the early founders did with whiskey itself: founding-act first, lasting tradition after.
What if I’m in the beta cohort?
Beta cohort members — the Founding 250 — keep their year of free Bourbon Steward as promised. When that year ends, you transition to the Founder rate ($99 / yr) — locked for life while subscribed. Your in-app badge shows your Founding Cohort number (#001 through #250) for as long as you have an account. You earned the rate twice over.
Can I cancel and rejoin at the Founder rate?
If you cancel before July 3, 2027, you can rejoin at the Founder rate any time before that date. After July 4, 2027, returning subscribers join at the then-current standard rate.
What about Bourbon Enthusiast pricing?
Bourbon Enthusiast stays at $5.99 / mo or $59 / yr through the Founding Father Year and after. No Founder discount on the Enthusiast tier — the Founder offer is the flagship gesture, tied to the Steward path.
Why no monthly Founder Steward rate?
The Founder rate is an annual commitment because the offer itself is. People not ready to commit to a year aren’t the audience for a locked-for-life rate — and the math works because the year-long commitment is what makes the lifetime lock honest.
What’s “American whiskey only” mean?
Bourbon, rye, American single malt, wheat whiskey, Tennessee whiskey, and the rest of the American whiskey family. No Scotch, Irish, Japanese, or Canadian. The app is built for the American whiskey collector specifically, and we don’t dilute the depth.
Is the AI giving me investment advice?
No. Franklin researches bottles, identifies what’s in your glass, teaches sensory practice, and surfaces what’s worth knowing about American whiskey. He does not give financial or investment advice on bottle valuation as an asset class.
Take your seat.
